This was part of the Upload! initiative working with Education to promote innovative use of broadband in schools. The response was overwhelming:

"Thank you for enabling those who couldn't get there to see it and be proud of our young people." Another viewer described the broadcast as "innovationally fantastic."

The Upload! Pilot was highlighted in a best-practice document as part of SEEDA's Enterprise Week - a National Campaign for 14-25 year olds to "Make Their Mark"

East Sussex has gone from being "at the bottom of the pile with regards to broadband" to being "in the vanguard of realising solutions to this important and real issue".

Pierre Danon, BT Retail Chief Executive

"We applaud the East Sussex partners in putting broadband at the heart of their economic strategies. The Broadband East Sussex programme will demonstrate the real power of originations working together in local communities. It will play a major role in helping business, education and citizens harness the huge benefits offered by broadband and, in doing so make a vital contribution to the future prosperity of the area."

James Tizard, The Director of the Information Economy Unit of the Government of South Australia;

"We will be able to learn much from the way that the public and private sector organisations in East Sussex have pooled their expertise and resources to work towards the common goal of ensuring the broadband revolution. It is a concept that I shall certainly be putting forward for serious consideration to the Federal Government's Broadband Implementation Strategy Group."
